While growing up in Toronto, Canada, I always had a personal creative project in the works. Whether I was drawing comic books, storyboarding & animating my movies with Super Nintendo's "Mario Paint," or writing stories, I always kept myself busy.

In late 2002 when I announced to my friends & family that I was moving to Los Angeles to pursue my Hollywood dreams, no one was surprised. I enrolled in the Media Arts & Animation program at the Art Institute of California - Los Angeles. By the time I graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in early 2007, I had already been working the previous year as an intern at GrapeVine Productions in Burbank. Needless to say, I was ecstatic when I was offered a full-time Designer/Animator position upon graduating. In early 2011, I became Lead Designer/Animator.

I have been given some incredible opportunities. Some career highlights include: consistently working on promos & Ad Sales for Disney Channel, Disney XD, and Disney Junior; working with Warner Bros. with such iconic properties as "Scooby-Doo!", "Tom & Jerry," "Looney Tunes," and "ThunderCats;" being featured on-screen in the DVD Special Features for "Smallville," Season 6; working on the "Takezo Kensei: Sword Saint" documentary series for NBC's TV show, "Heroes," which is featured on the Season 2 DVD and which contributed to NBC.com taking home the first Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Interactive Media; working with actor Eion Bailey (from the film "Fight Club") to create the animations for the pilot episode of "Imagine This!", which was included in Entertainment Weekly magazine's "the Must List;" working on ELLE magazine's "Dirty Little Secret" online animated comic book series, was was featured on E! News; working with the Chopra Center on several projects, including Oprah Winfrey's & Deepak Chopra's "21-Day Meditation Experience."

In the summer of 2016, I returned home to Toronto and opened Kevan Barnett Productions Inc. to expand my horizons. I am available for hire for freelance work (remotely or on-site), as well as a part-time or full-time employee.
